A Story about Beauty
I have been thinking a lot recently about beauty. As in the True, the Good, and the Beautiful. I recently ran across this video on Rod Dreher’s blog, and it has stuck with me. So simple and yet very moving. And beautiful.
What is Worth Saving
My hope for this blog is to capture some of the everyday moments of the True, the Good, and the Beautiful that I see, and share my thoughts about such things. The times in which we live are fraught with chaos and uncertainty and seemingly inexorable decline of culture and values. I think it’s important, essential, to look around and see what is worth saving, what we are willing to fight for. To me, this video is a simple reminder that the things worth saving, the things worth seeing, are all around us, if only we look for them.
The Internet Can Be Beautiful
Sometimes finding beauty is as easy as looking for it. And sometimes, if we look for it, we can find beauty in the darkest places … even on the Internet. I’m going to be spending a little time today exploring more of the Minute with a Monk videos over on their YouTube channel. Looks promising.
A New Link-Up about Beauty
I am linking up with Jennifer over at Veils and Vocations on her inaugural “Beauty Tuesday” link-up. Best of luck, Jennifer – to a long and fruitful run!
